The Institute of Computer Science in Vorarlberg (ICV) of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) is looking for PhD candidates to compose its team. The ICV-HSG is located in the newly founded CAMPUS V, in Dornbirn, Austria, and is at the same time fully integrated into the research and teaching activities of the HSG in St. Gallen. The main focus of the institute is on teaching, research, and continuing education work in the thematic focus areas "Embedded Sensing Systems" and "Big Data Infrastructures". Prospective PhD candidates will also conduct research in these key areas at the Vorarlberg site.

Ideally you have:

• excellent communication and writing skills in English
• a passion for applied research
• a “can do” mentality to get things done
• minimum requirements to be admitted in the PhD program in Computer Science (admission requirements)
